Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to pay upfront?

A 50% non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your session date. The remaining balance is due on the day of your session.

Can we bring our fur baby to the session?

Absolutely — I love including your fur babies! Dogs are more than welcome to be part of your session. I simply ask that you bring a lead and some treats to help keep them comfortable and engaged.

What happens if the weather is bad for our session?

If the weather isn’t suitable (rain, strong winds, or extreme conditions), your session will be rescheduled to the nearest available date. Please note that time-sensitive sessions (such as newborn or maternity) will be prioritised when rescheduling.

I’ll always be in touch leading up to your session to make the call, ensuring the best possible outcome for your images.

Can we reschedule our session?

Yes — I understand that life happens. I kindly ask for at least 48 hours’ notice where possible. You’re deposit is non-refundable but can be transferred to a new date.

What time will our session be?

Most sessions are scheduled during golden hour — either just after sunrise or before sunset — to achieve the soft, flattering light my work is known for. Exact timing will be confirmed closer to your session date.

What if my kids don’t behave on the day?

Please don’t stress — this is completely normal and expected. My sessions are relaxed and child-led, allowing space for play, movement, and natural interaction. Some of the most meaningful images come from these in-between moments.

How many images will we receive?

This varies depending on your session type, but you can expect a thoughtfully curated gallery of high-quality, professionally edited images that tell your story beautifully.

Do you provide unedited/raw images?

No — all images are carefully selected and professionally edited to reflect my signature style. This ensures a consistent, polished gallery that represents my work at its best.

How long will it take to receive our gallery?

My standard turnaround time is 4–6 weeks. This may vary slightly depending on the session type and current workload, but I always aim to deliver your gallery as soon as possible.

When should I book my newborn session?

I recommend booking your newborn session as soon as you know you’d like professional photos, to avoid missing out on availability.

Sessions are tentatively scheduled around 7 days after your due date. As we know, babies arrive on their own timeline — sometimes earlier, sometimes later — so flexibility and open communication are key.

Once your baby has arrived, please get in touch so we can confirm or adjust your session date. If your baby arrives prematurely or requires a hospital stay, please don’t worry — we can absolutely still create a beautiful gallery when the time is right.

When should I book my maternity session?

This is entirely your choice and depends on how you’d like to capture your pregnancy. Most clients choose to book their session between 34–37 weeks, when your bump is beautifully visible while you’re still feeling comfortable.

What should we wear?

Styling guidance is included in your welcome guide, which you’ll receive after securing your session. I provide tips and suggestions to help you feel confident, comfortable, and cohesive on the day. However, light or neutral colours photography well.

Where are your sessions held?

Locations are chosen based on your preferences and the overall style or feel you’d like to achieve. I’ve carefully scouted a range of beautiful locations and will recommend options that align with your vision.

Can extended family join our session?

Extended family sessions are absolutely welcome; however, these do require a specific extended family package to be booked, as additional time and coverage are needed.

Please let me know in advance if you’d like to include extended family so I can guide you to the most suitable package.

Where should we print our images?

Printing your images is such an important part of the experience. As you’ve invested in professional photography, I always recommend printing through a professional lab to ensure the highest quality.

You’ll have access to a professional online print store directly through your gallery. Alternatively, you’re welcome to source a reputable photo lab in your local area.
